Apply for Summer Research Fellowship at the University of Hong Kong

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) Graduate School is now inviting applications for its prestigious Summer Research Fellowship Programme. The 10-week research training programme, designed for elite students from around the world, offers an exceptional opportunity for international students, with a particular invitation to those from India, to immerse themselves in cutting-edge research, extra-curricular activities, and networking events. Applications close on February 3, 2025.
This fellowship is aimed at outstanding students pursuing a Master’s degree or excellent undergraduate students in their third or fourth year, with a minimum CGPA of 3.6. Applicants must submit their academic details, a personal statement, and other supporting documents such as a CV, transcripts, and proof of English language proficiency.
The fellowship provides various benefits, including a scholarship of HK$10,000 upon completion, mentorship from HKU’s renowned professors, and the possibility of financial support for airfare up to HK$5,000. Exceptional students may also receive a conditional offer for the prestigious HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship, valued at up to HK$433,300 in the first year.
Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in research postgraduate studies, prior research experience, and a commitment to interdisciplinary studies. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain hands-on research experience and potentially secure a path towards further studies at one of Hong Kong’s leading universities.
