The University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom has opened applications for its Faculty of Engineering International Scholarships for the academic year 2025–26. These scholarships are aimed at self-funded, international (non-EU) undergraduate students enrolling on engineering courses beginning in September 2025.

The scholarships offer a 10% reduction in annual tuition fees, amounting to approximately £2,935 for the first year of study. The application process opened on 21 January 2025, and students have until 12 September 2025 to confirm eligibility. However, there is no need to apply separately for this scholarship — eligible students will be awarded it automatically once the tuition deposit is paid.

“Your first year’s scholarship will typically be £2,935,” said the university in its official statement, adding that “the scholarship details will be added to your student record once payment of the deposit has been received.”

The scholarship applies to a broad range of engineering programmes, including biomedical engineering, aeronautical engineering, civil and environmental engineering, renewable energy, electronic and electrical engineering, mechanical and aerospace engineering, and product design, among others. Students enrolling on specific high-cost programmes such as architecture and biomedical engineering may receive adjusted scholarship amounts.

To be eligible, applicants must have received an offer for a full-time undergraduate course in engineering and must not be in receipt of a full scholarship from an embassy or government agency.

The initiative further strengthens Scotland’s appeal as a higher education destination for international students. With its world-class faculty and strong industry links, the University of Strathclyde remains a top choice for those looking to study in the UK.

India, along with several other non-EU countries, is expected to see a significant number of applicants as the UK continues to offer attractive academic pathways for aspiring engineers.
