The University of Strathclyde Law School is currently accepting applications for its newly introduced LLM in Law, Technology, and Innovation programme.

According to a press release from the University of Strathclyde, the course aims to prepare students for the legal challenges associated with emerging technologies. It also focuses on the critical intersection of law, technology, and innovation.

Students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required for modern legal practice. The course will be delivered through a combination of theoretical approaches and practical applications, assisting the university in keeping its curriculum up to date.

Duration: Candidates may choose to complete the LLM in Law, Technology, and Innovation in one year (full-time). Upon completion of six modules and a summer project, students will be awarded the LLM degree at the end of the 12 months.

Summer projects may take the form of a dissertation, internship, consultancy, enhanced research proposal, or coding project.

This structure allows students the flexibility to apply for an internship or consultancy as part of their summer project, rather than completing a traditional dissertation.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must hold a first- or second-class honours degree in Law or a related field, or equivalent qualifications from a recognised university.

Additional qualifications or professional experience are also considered. Notably, as stated in the press release, it is not essential to have a degree in Law or Computer Science to enter this programme.

Course Fees: For international students, the fee for the 2024/25 academic year is £21,700.

The Humanities & Social Sciences Postgraduate Taught International Scholarship is available to international students. The scholarship value ranges between £4,000 and £5,000.

Only students holding an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught degree programme commencing in the 2024/25 academic year will be considered for this scholarship.
