The University of Tasmania (UTAS), Australia, is now accepting applications for its Master of Public Health (MPH) programme for 2025. This two-year, full-time course equips students with the skills to influence health policies, conduct epidemiological research, and implement evidence-based interventions.

The programme covers key areas such as health systems planning, disease prevention, environmental health, and health economics. It is designed for both aspiring public health professionals and those already in the health sector seeking career advancement. Graduates can pursue roles as epidemiologists, health data analysts, and health policy advisors.

While there is no fixed deadline, international students should secure their Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) at least 2.5 to 3 months before the course commences on 21 July 2025. The total tuition fee is AUD 75,748.

Applicants must hold qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor’s degree and meet English language requirements:

  • IELTS (Academic): 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
  • PTE Academic: 65 (no score below 58)
  • TOEFL (iBT): 88 (minimum 21 in Listening, Reading, and Speaking; 25 in Writing)

Students can choose electives or undertake a research project under expert supervision.

The University of Tasmania, one of Australia’s leading institutions, benchmarks the MPH programme against the standards set by the Council of Public Health Institutions in Australasia (CAPHIA). Graduates can explore opportunities in government health departments, international organisations, NGOs, and academic institutions.

For those interested, applications are now open, offering a chance to contribute to the evolving field of public health.
