In a significant step toward global expansion, France’s prestigious KEDGE Business School has announced plans to launch its first associated campus in India, in partnership with Vijaybhoomi University and its business school arm, the Jagdish Sheth School of Management (JAGSoM). The new campus will be based in Karjat, near Mumbai, and is set to welcome its first cohort of students in September 2025.

KEDGE, a triple-accredited grande école, currently operates four campuses in France and four associated campuses across Africa and China. With this latest collaboration, the school aims to bring its internationally recognised business education model to India, a country increasingly emerging as a hub for global education partnerships.

The India campus will initially offer a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) programme. Applicants must either secure a minimum SAT score of 1300 or pass KEDGE’s internal entrance exam to qualify. Starting in 2026, the campus will also introduce Master of Science degrees in specialisations such as sports management, sustainable transformation, entrepreneurship, creative industries, and luxury management. These programmes will be jointly delivered by faculty from both KEDGE and Vijaybhoomi, with select modules taught remotely from France.

The move reflects KEDGE’s broader mission to educate future leaders within local contexts. “This strategic partnership in South Asia will enable the joint development of innovative programmes tailored to the Indian market,” the school noted in a statement.

A dedicated India team will oversee academic operations at the Karjat campus, ensuring alignment with KEDGE’s global standards. Executive MBA and PhD programmes for working professionals are also on the horizon.

KEDGE’s expansion into India builds on its existing ventures in Dakar (Senegal), Abidjan (Côte d’Ivoire), and two institutes in China, all of which offer cross-border academic experiences.

This development also mirrors a wider trend among French institutions, with schools like ESCP engaging with Indian counterparts such as IIT Bombay and IIT Madras for joint research and innovation.
