The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Ireland recently visited India to strengthen educational partnerships and create more opportunities for Indian students.

A high-level delegation, led by TUS President Prof. Vincent Cunnane and Vice President for Internationalisation & Alumni Donnacha McNamara, visited New Delhi to engage with leading Indian institutions and explore new collaborations.

During the visit, the delegation held discussions with universities such as Bennett University, Amity University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Geeta University, and Hindu College. These discussions focused on student exchange programmes and dual/blended learning opportunities.

Prof. Cunnane emphasised TUS’s commitment to global partnerships that enhance education and prepare students for future challenges.

The university showcased its industry-focused programmes in fields such as Data Analytics, IT, Business Analytics, and Engineering. It also highlighted its QS 5-Star rating and practical approach to learning, including smaller class sizes and placements that provide hands-on industry experience.

Currently, over 350 students from South Asia are enrolled at TUS, and the numbers are expected to rise as more Indian students seek quality education abroad. TUS’s tailored programmes, designed to meet global job market demands, continue to attract students looking for world-class educational resources and career-building opportunities.

This visit marks a significant step in fostering deeper academic ties between Ireland and India, with TUS aiming to provide greater access to its industry-relevant courses for Indian students.
