The University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom has launched a new round of £7,000 International Masters Scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year, targeting international students pursuing postgraduate taught programmes in Physics.

Announced by the university’s Faculty of Science, the scholarship is open to self-funded, non-EU international applicants who will be enrolling full-time at the university’s Glasgow campus in September 2025.

Eligible candidates must hold an offer for a taught master’s programme in the Department of Physics, and the award will be granted automatically upon payment of the course deposit, therefore, no separate application is required.

The initiative is aimed at making high-quality British education more accessible to global talent. However, it is important to note that only one scholarship will be awarded per academic year per student, and it cannot be deferred or transferred to a later session.

The £7,000 award will be deducted directly from tuition fees and is valid for one academic year only. The application deadline is 31 July 2025, and the awards will be distributed on a rolling basis, meaning early applicants stand a better chance of securing the funding.

The university has also clarified that students receiving full sponsorships from government offices or embassies are not eligible for this scholarship.

This initiative is part of Strathclyde’s broader efforts to attract bright international students to its renowned science faculty. With a strong global reputation, particularly in the field of Physics, the university continues to support internationalisation through targeted financial aid.
