UK Opens Applications for 2025 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

The Ministry of Education has opened online applications for the fully funded 2025 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship in the United Kingdom. This scholarship, offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), UK, is available for full-time Master’s degree programmes starting in September/October 2025 in Commonwealth countries.
Further details about the scholarship can be found on the Ministry of Education’s official website. The entire application process will be conducted online. Applications must be submitted using the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission’s Online Application System and the Sakshat Portal of the Ministry of Education. The Online Application System (OAS) will be open from 10 September 2024 to 15 October 2024. The Sakshat Portal will remain open from 10 September 2024 to 31 October 2024.
Eligibility Criteria for Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship
- The scholarship is available to Indian citizens who are permanent residents of India.
- Applicants must confirm that they can commence academic studies in the UK at the start of the UK academic year in September/October 2025.
- Candidates must be pursuing a first degree and should have achieved at least an upper second class (2:1) honours degree by September 2025. In the Indian context, this equates to securing at least 60 per cent marks in graduation.
The scholarship will cover the costs of studying in the UK. The CSC and the Ministry of Education emphasise that the selection decision for this scholarship is solely at their discretion and is not influenced by the notification.
