LCI Barcelona Inaugurates New Campus in 22@ Innovation District

LCI Barcelona, Spain, part of the LCI Education global network, has officially opened its state-of-the-art campus in the 22@ innovation district, marking a new chapter for the renowned design school. This October 2024 launch highlights LCI Education’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, with the 11,000 m² campus certified by BREEAM® for energy-efficient design.
The facility, which accommodates 2,500 students, is equipped with cutting-edge labs, FabLabs, photography studios, and collaborative spaces that foster creativity and experimentation. As the most international School of Design and Visual Arts in Barcelona, LCI’s new campus strengthens its role in shaping future creative professionals while contributing to the city’s thriving creative industries.
The financial impact of the new campus is projected to surpass €40 million in the next five years, driven largely by international students. LCI Barcelona offers a wide array of programmes across art, design, communication, fashion, gaming, animation, and VFX, spanning bachelor’s, postgraduate, and master’s degrees, as well as professional courses.
With a rich legacy in fashion education dating back to 1928, LCI Barcelona’s alumni include notable designers like Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro and María Escoté. The campus’s inauguration also coincides with the launch of a CAD$1.2 million scholarship programme for Canadian students from LaSalle College Montréal and LaSalle College Vancouver, enhancing global education opportunities.
LCI Barcelona is poised to continue its growth while staying true to its core values of engagement, quality, and global collaboration.
