The Education Testing Service (ETS) India, in collaboration with the National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU), has launched the ‘UK-India TOEFL Scholarship,’ aimed at supporting Indian students based on their TOEFL scores.

A total of 10 scholars will be selected, each receiving a one-time scholarship of ₹2.5 lakh, totalling ₹25 lakh in scholarships. This initiative is designed for students pursuing full-time on-campus undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at UK universities.

In addition to the scholarship programme, the TOEFL India Championship will offer ₹15 lakh in prize money, providing a platform for participants to showcase their English proficiency and academic capabilities.

To enhance accessibility, ETS India has also revamped the registration process for the TOEFL iBT test, reducing the overall time to just three minutes. The new six-step registration includes creating an account, selecting tests, choosing dates, entering personal information, opting for test preparation, and completing the payment.

Sachin Jain, Country Manager of ETS India, emphasised that the changes are aimed at improving the user experience and meeting the evolving needs of test takers, facilitating easier access to international education opportunities.
