Beijing Institute of Technology Offers Scholarships for International Students

The Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) in China warmly invites international students for the 2025 academic year, offering a diverse range of scholarships with no IELTS requirement. Founded in 1940, BIT is renowned for its educational excellence and now seeks students from around the globe.

Among the notable scholarships available is the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) Type B, which provides comprehensive medical insurance, free housing or a subsidy, and a monthly stipend of CNY 2,500 for undergraduates, CNY 3,000 for master’s students, and CNY 3,500 for PhD candidates. Additionally, the Beijing Municipal Government Scholarship offers one-year scholarships for full or partial tuition.

Eligibility criteria include high school graduates aged 18 to 25 for undergraduate programmes and master’s degree holders under 40 for PhD programmes. Notably, students from English-speaking countries can forgo the TOEFL/IELTS requirement, with alternative proof of English proficiency accepted.

The application deadline for the CSC is 15 April 2025, while self-funded students must apply by 15 June 2025. With its commitment to inclusivity, BIT is well-positioned to attract a vibrant international student community in China.
