USTC Launches Study Abroad Scholarship for Undergraduate Courses

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) has opened the application process for its prestigious USTC Fellowship, aimed at international undergraduate students. Applications commenced on 20 October 2024 and will remain open until 31 March 2025.

The fellowship is available in two tiers: Level A, which offers full funding, including tuition waivers, comprehensive medical insurance, a monthly stipend of 2,500 RMB (approximately ₹29,525), and accommodation subsidies; and Level B, which provides a tuition waiver only.

To apply, candidates must register in the USTC Application System and select their preferred fellowship level. Eligibility requires applicants to be non-Chinese citizens in good health, under 30 years of age by 1 September 2025, and to have achieved a new HSK Level 5 or higher. Additionally, applicants must possess a high school diploma equivalent to a Chinese high school by July 2025.
