Aston University and Symbiosis Launch Dual Degree Programmes in the UK and Dubai

Aston University in the UK has partnered with India’s Symbiosis International University (SIU) to offer dual degree programmes in Dubai and the UK. The initiative will allow students to earn qualifications from both Aston University and SIU, with the opportunity to study in both Birmingham and Dubai.
Professor Aleks Subic, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Aston University, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “This strategic development will pave the way for joint academic programmes and help students develop competitive skills essential for success in today’s market.” The programme aims to provide students with a global perspective on their studies, preparing them for an increasingly international workforce.
The dual degree programme will take four years to complete, with students spending the first two years in Dubai and the remaining two at Aston University in Birmingham. Upon successful completion, students will receive a BSc in Business and Management from Aston University and a BBA degree from Symbiosis. The first cohort will begin the programme in June 2025.
The universities have also introduced a dual MBA programme, allowing students to earn two master’s degrees in just two years. This includes an MSc in Finance and an MBA (Banking and Finance) with a specialisation in Financial Services, with study periods in both India and the UK.
This partnership, formalised in June 2024, will focus on joint projects in executive education, research, and conferences, further strengthening ties between the UK, India, and Dubai.
