Indiana University, Indiana, has opened applications for the 2025 Rising Star Scholarship, exclusively for international female students. The scholarship aims to recognise young women showing exceptional potential and leadership at the university.

Applications must be submitted by 3 March 2025, with selected candidates notified by 7 March 2025. The scholarship is open to non-immigrant female students who are freshmen, juniors, or sophomores, maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must be nominated by an Indiana University staff or faculty member, as direct applications are not accepted.

According to the university’s statement, the ideal candidate is someone who actively engages in opportunities to help others and demonstrates emerging leadership potential.

In another development, Indiana University has appointed Patrick E. Hopkins as the new dean of the Kelley School of Business, effective from 17 March 2025. Hopkins will oversee both the Indianapolis and Bloomington campuses, focusing on strengthening the school’s dual-campus structure and expanding its global partnerships.

Pamela Whitten, President of Indiana University, expressed confidence in Hopkins’ leadership, highlighting the school’s commitment to providing world-class business education. The appointment aligns with the IU 2030 Strategic Plan, aiming to offer students experiential learning opportunities and enhance corporate collaborations.

With these initiatives, Indiana University continues to solidify its reputation as a leading institution in the United States, fostering diversity and preparing students for the global marketplace.
