Indian students planning to study overseas have been given a fresh boost through a new initiative by ETS, the organisation behind the TOEFL test. Partnering with Credila Financial Services Limited, ETS has introduced the TOEFL SUPER 50, a programme offering a prize pool of ₹10 lakh, alongside test preparation resources and financial planning support.

The TOEFL iBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language – Internet-Based Test) is one of the most widely recognised assessments of English proficiency, accepted by over 13,000 universities and institutions across more than 160 countries. Covering reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills, the test is a crucial requirement for Indian students seeking admission to universities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Germany.

Under the new initiative, students must attempt the Global Scholar Challenge introduced by ETS India. Registrations for the TOEFL iBT test made by 15 December 2025, with the test to be taken by 31 December 2025, will qualify them for the scheme. Successful registrants will gain free access to the TOEFL Official Test Prep eBook, 12 scored mock tests, and a financial literacy masterclass by Credila. Contestants will also be eligible for discounts on education loan processing fees through Credila financing.

ETS underlined the importance of TOEFL for Indian students, noting that 85% of test takers have successfully secured visas, highlighting the test’s significance in both admissions and immigration. Commenting on the launch, Sachin Jain, Country Manager of ETS India & South Asia, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to not only academic readiness but also financial preparedness.

Credila’s Chief Business Officer, Hitesh Parashar, added that financial planning remains one of the most challenging aspects of the study abroad process for Indian families. Through this partnership, students will gain practical insights to manage finances while focusing on their academic goals.

By combining globally recognised assessments with structured financial guidance, the TOEFL SUPER 50 aims to empower Indian students to pursue higher education with confidence, strengthening their prospects in both universities and future careers abroad.
