Newcastle University Opens Applications for Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships 2025

Newcastle University in the United Kingdom is now accepting applications for its prestigious Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Scholarships for the 2025 intake. The programme offers scholarships for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students, with 30 slots available in each category.
The scholarships, which cover up to 50% or 100% of tuition fees, will commence in September 2025 and run for the full duration of the degree programme. The deadline for applications is 27 February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Residency: UG applicants must be domiciled in countries such as India, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the USA, and Canada. PG applicants must hail from countries such as the USA, Canada, China, Saudi Arabia, and India.
  • Fee Status: Candidates must be assessed as international students for tuition purposes.
  • Course Offer: Applicants must hold an offer for an eligible UG or PG programme for the 2025/26 academic year.
  • Academic Excellence: UG applicants must achieve or expect at least ABB at A-level or equivalent. PG applicants should hold or expect an upper second-class UK honours degree or equivalent.
  • For PG applicants from Nigeria or Ghana, 100% scholarships are available, subject to meeting specific eligibility criteria.

Application and Selection

Applications must be submitted through the official Newcastle University website. Successful candidates will be chosen based on academic merit, commitment to studies, and the quality of their application.
