University of Birmingham Offers 125th Anniversary Scholarships for Indian Students

The University of Birmingham, United Kingdom, has announced special scholarships for Indian students as part of its 125th anniversary celebrations. These scholarships are available for various postgraduate taught (PGT) Master’s degrees starting in September 2025.

The scholarships, ranging from £4,000 to £5,000, aim to support outstanding Indian students in their pursuit of higher education. Vice-Chancellor Professor Adam Tickell highlighted the university’s commitment to advancing global research and education, stating, “We are proud to deepen our ties with India by offering these scholarships. They represent our long-standing commitment to empowering global talent and addressing future challenges.”

In addition to the 125th Anniversary Scholarships, the university has introduced the Chancellor’s Scholarships under the leadership of Sandie Okoro OBE, the newly appointed Chancellor. These scholarships further emphasise the university’s dedication to diversity and academic excellence.

The 125th Anniversary Scholarships provide £4,000 awards to eligible Indian students enrolling in various Master’s programmes, excluding MBA, MSc Marketing, MSc International Business, and MSc Management courses. Outstanding students selected through the India Chancellor’s Scholarship programme will receive £5,000 awards, applicable to all Master’s programmes, including business disciplines.

The Chancellor’s Scholarships 2025 offer 15 scholarships worth £6,000 each, based on academic merit. The MBA Scholarships include up to £15,000 for the Purposeful Leader MBA and an additional £10,000 for the Responsible Business MBA.

Furthermore, the India High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships cater to undergraduate programmes with limited awards, based on nominations and academic merit.
These initiatives reinforce the University of Birmingham’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and strengthening its ties with India, reflecting its broader goal of creating a global impact through education.
