The University of Bristol, located in the United Kingdom, is now accepting applications for its 2025 intake. International students are encouraged to submit their undergraduate applications by the equal consideration deadline of 31 January 2025.

For students aiming to pursue courses in dentistry, medicine, or veterinary studies, the application deadline for the 2025 intake has already passed, as these courses closed on 16 October. However, students interested in other undergraduate programmes should submit their applications by the January deadline to be considered equally.

The university also advises international students who need a visa and are applying for specific engineering or science-based undergraduate courses at the master’s level to check whether they require an Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate. Certain countries, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the USA, and Switzerland, are exempt from this requirement.

For Indian students applying to undergraduate programmes, the entry requirements vary depending on the course and the subjects taken in their 12th board exams. Typically, students from the CBSE or CISCE boards with 70-80% in English may be exempt from English proficiency tests like IELTS. Offers generally range from 80% (equivalent to ABB at A-level) to 90% (equivalent to A*AA at A-level).

Postgraduate applicants from India must hold a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 6/10 or 60%, with law programme applicants requiring 55-60% marks.

The University of Bristol also maintains partnerships with top Indian universities, offering students the chance to transfer through the Global Transfer Programme, allowing a faster and more streamlined admission process.
