University of Leeds Opens Applications for International Excellence Scholarships

Leeds, United Kingdom – The University of Leeds has announced the opening of applications for its International Excellence Scholarships, aimed at high-achieving international students pursuing a taught Master’s programme in 2025.
The scholarship offers tuition fee reductions of 10%, 25%, and 50%, making it an attractive opportunity for students looking to study in the United Kingdom. The deadline to apply is 16 May 2025, by 5 PM UK time, for all students except those domiciled in mainland China. The results will be announced on 13 June 2025.
For students from mainland China, the deadline is 28 February 2025, by 5 PM UK time, with results announced by 28 March 2025.
Eligibility and Courses
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be classified as international students for tuition purposes.
- Have applied for an eligible taught Master’s programme for the 2025/26 entry.
- Be self-funding or partially funded.
- Have a strong academic record, with a minimum 2:1 or equivalent.
- Demonstrate work experience or extracurricular activities showcasing their leadership and skills.
- Eligible programmes include MA Arts Management and Heritage Studies, MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies, MA Fine Art, MA Critical and Cultural Theory, and MA Social History of Art.
University of Leeds’ Support for International Students
Apart from scholarships, the University of Leeds has also supported over 100 international students through travel grants to attend events focused on machine learning and data science. This initiative, in collaboration with Deep Learning Indaba, helped students attend the IndabaX Uganda conference in Kampala.
A beneficiary, Namutebi Esther, shared:
