The University of Nottingham has announced an increase in tuition fees for the 2025-26 academic year, following approval from the UK government.

From the next academic year, the maximum tuition fee for UK home undergraduate and Initial Teacher Training students studying in England will rise to £9,535—an increase of £285.

‘The university will charge the maximum approved fee. If you pay directly, you will receive a charge notification after completing registration and module enrolment,’ stated the university.

Students undertaking placements in 2025-26 will need to pay a proportion of the full tuition fee. However, those with tuition fee loans will have the additional amount covered. The university reassured students that this change would not affect their loan repayments after graduation, as repayments are based on earnings, not the total amount borrowed.

Alumni Programme to Support New Graduates

In addition to the fee increase, the University of Nottingham has launched an initiative to support recent graduates. The ‘Connected We Thrive’ alumni programme aims to help students transition into professional careers by connecting them with Nottingham’s global alumni network.

Through the programme, graduates can participate in exclusive webinars and seminars covering topics such as career transitions, personal branding, and overcoming burnout. The university also encourages graduates to engage with online networking forums, LinkedIn groups, and alumni societies to maintain lifelong connections.

With a strong alumni network of 340,000 members, the programme offers mentorship, career support, and employability services to ensure graduates thrive in their chosen fields.
