University of Sheffield Opens Applications for MSc Human Nutrition Course
The University of Sheffield, UK, is now accepting applications for its MSc Human Nutrition course, set to commence in September 2025. This accredited programme, recognised by the Association for Nutrition (AfN), prepares graduates to work as Registered Associate Nutritionists (ANutr).
The MSc Human Nutrition course offers an in-depth exploration of the connections between diet, health, and disease, while focusing on advancements in clinical nutrition, public health, sustainability, and global nutrition. Students will benefit from the university’s research excellence and gain essential research and practical skills. The programme includes hands-on lab work, public engagement activities, and opportunities to develop transferable skills, ensuring students are well-prepared for future careers in nutrition.
Eligibility criteria for the course include a recognised bachelor’s degree in subjects such as Biology, Biochemistry, Nursing, and Zoology, with a minimum 55% score. International applicants must also have an IELTS score of 6.5, with no less than 6 in each component.
The annual fee for international students in 2025 is £29,030. The course provides a strong foundation in nutritional science, including topics such as physiology, biochemistry, and clinical nutrition. Students will learn to assess body composition, energy balance, and food analysis, as well as gain insights into public health nutrition and sustainable food systems, with a focus on the impact of climate change on nutrition.
Throughout the course, students will develop essential professional skills, including leadership, ethics, and communication, while working alongside globally renowned researchers. This opportunity offers a comprehensive pathway to a rewarding career in the growing field of human nutrition, with a focus on both practical experience and research-based learning.
