The University of Sheffield, UK, has opened applications for its BEng Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering degree, set to commence in September 2025. This three-year programme is designed to equip students with expertise in robotics, control systems, and advanced manufacturing, using industry-standard equipment.

The annual tuition fee for international students for the academic year 2025-26 is set at £30,570. To support academic excellence, the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sheffield offers scholarships of up to £3,000 for overseas students. Eligibility Criteria for Indian Students:

Completion of Standard XII with a minimum of 80% on all boards using a percentage scale or 8.0 on a GPA scale.

An IELTS score of 6.5, with no less than 6.0 in each component, or an alternative acceptable English language qualification.

Course Structure and Learning Outcomes:

In the first year, students will develop foundational skills in mathematics and computing, alongside theoretical knowledge of electro-mechanical systems. The second year will focus on mechanical design, programming languages such as C++, and intelligent systems, with hands-on experience in building robots and using 3D CAD tools. The final year will introduce specialist modules in machine learning and robotics, culminating in an advanced project.
